Boralta

For Investors

A gap that's existed for decades, closing now.

International wholesale has run on two models for as long as it's existed: sourcing agencies, which build trust but scale one relationship at a time, and digital marketplaces, which scale reach but abandon partnership to do it. Neither model has ever served both sides of a trade at once. Boralta is built to.

The opportunity

A large, underserved corridor

Wholesale trade between Asia/MENA manufacturing hubs (China, Bangladesh, Türkiye, Egypt) and high-growth buyer markets across Africa and Latin America is large and growing, and is currently served almost entirely by fragmented agencies and generic marketplaces.

Two unresolved problems, one company

Agencies can't scale their relationships. Marketplaces can't build them. Boralta's model — a Supply Manager for every manufacturer, a Commercial Manager for every buyer, and AI handling catalogue quality, translation, matching and monitoring at scale — is built to do both without the trade-off either legacy model requires.

Trust as infrastructure, not a feature

Verification, managed payments, quality assurance and continuous performance monitoring aren't bolted onto a marketplace here — they're the product.

Why now

AI has made it possible, for the first time, for a lean team to do what used to require an agency's headcount at every additional manufacturer or buyer — catalogue creation, translation, buyer-supplier matching, fraud and performance monitoring. That doesn't replace the human relationship layer; it's what makes it possible to run that layer at a scale no traditional agency could reach. This is the specific, timely reason the two historically separate models can now be one company.

Leadership and team

We're building a team across technology, sourcing, operations, logistics, product, customer experience and growth — including the two relationship functions, Supply Managers and Commercial Managers, that don't exist at a typical marketplace.
